Concerning the Lord's Supper
If you are a guest from outside the LCMS, please speak with Pastor Jeff or an Elder prior to receiving Holy Communion.
The Bible gives specific guidelines about receiving the Lord's Supper to one's spiritual harm (1 Corinthians 11:27-29). Because of this, reception is limited to those who accept the scriptural teaching concerning this special gift from God and are instructed in this church's faith as confessed by Holy Scripture and the Lutheran Confessions.
-
That you are a believer in Christ (Hebrews 11:6).
-
Recognize and are sorry for your sins (Proverbs 28:13).
-
Have faith that with the bread and the wine Christ offers His Body and Blood (1 Corinthians 10:16).
-
Be willing to forgive those who have sinned against you (Matthew 6:14-15).
